Kaklık Cave;
It is on the Denizli-Ankara Motorway, 30 km away from the city center of Denizli, in the township of Honaz, Kaklık District. Ornate with dripstones, stalactites, and stalagmites, it is exceptionally beautiful with travertine steps similar to those in Pamukkale. It is also called the Little Pamukkale and Cave Pamukkale. Thermal springs in the cave are abundant. This water resource is clear, colorless, and smells like sulphur, and is good for some skin disorders.
Dodurgalar Keloğlan’s Den Cave;
It is located on the east side of Mount Mallı, 3 km west of Dodurgalar District which lies 18 km east of the township of Acıpayam 60 km away from Denizli city center. The Denizli-Antalya Motorway that connects the Western Anatolia and Agean Regions to the Mediterranean Region is very close to this cave. 145 long, it is a horizontal tunnel fossil cave. The many stalactites, stalagmites, speleothems, and blanket dripstones have turned this cave into a dripstone forest, making it a great touristic site.
Denizli has plenty of PLATEAUS for summer camping
Our city has many plateaus. Of these, Yatağan Kefe plateau and Topuklu plateaus have the infrastructure provided by their cities to offer power, water, tents, picnic spaces, restrooms, showers, restaurants, grocery stores, butchers, and various sports areas.
DENİZLİ ROPEWAY – BAĞBAŞI PLATEAU
The aerial cable lift constructed by the Metropolitan City of Denizli is 1500 metres long, has 24 cabins that hold eight people each and reaches up to the beautiful nature of the Bağbaşı Olive Plateau 1400 metres above the sea level.
On the upper station of the lift, there is a cafeteria and at a 1700m distance at the plateau there is a restaurant, a café, picnic spaces, tent areas for those who would like to stay, and wooden bungalows and rooms.
Çivril Akdağ Tokalı Canyon for Adventure Lovers
Akdağ Tokalı Canyon in Denizli’s Çivril township is 1,600 metres above the sea level and the land ends abruptly at 1,200 metres high descending with massive rocks, some of which are 200 metres.
Çameli Emecik Infidel’s Hole Canyon
This canyon lies in the mountain region between Emecik and Cevizli districts and is known by the name of infidel’s hole. The canyon’s entrance is 2 metres wide, and 14 metres long. The canyon is 15 km to Çameli township and 60 km to the Fethiye township of Muğla. There are hundreds of short waterfalls inside the canyon and a tall waterfall that is 16 metres high.
Kale İnceğiz Canyon where Nature Lovers Meet
The İnceğiz District is 45 km from Denizli’s Kale township. This canyon is made by the corroding of the rivers feeding into the Kemer Dam, on the Aksu Creek. An all-natural formation, this canyon is called “Arapapıştı” by the locals. The canyon is suitable for boat and canoe rafting.
Çal Kısık Canyon Nestled in History
In Denizli’s township of Çal, near Kumral picnic area, Kısık Canyon was opened for tourism in year 2011. It is 80 metres high with a steep slope and has a hanging bridge, a trail that is 650 metres long, and the water is 1.7 m deep. The canyon is light-filled and cool with views of Byzantine and Roman antique rock tombs.
Bozkurt Karakısık Canyon on a Historic Gateway
Karakısık Canyon is located northeast of the Bozkurt-İnceler District, 7 km to the town, in the forest area where the Emir Creek springs.
The narrowest point of the canyon is 4 meters wide and the bottom-top height is 200 metres. Throughout history, it was used as a passageway between the İnceler district and Acıpayam-Tavas townships.
Other Touristic Natural Values
Güney Falls, Sakızcılar Asmaaltı Falls, Homa Gümüşsu Falls, Buldan Süleymanlı Plateau Lake, Çivril Işıklı Water Bird Sanctuary, Beyağaç Kartal Lake Nature Preserve, Lake Acı, Lake Beylerli Çaltı, Lake Upper Dağdere, Lake Adı Güzeller Dam and Beyağaç Eşen Pond are recreational areas where you can be in nature, possibly go fishing, and definitely have a picnic.
