Transportation
Denizli may be reached by motorway, railway, or airway. It is connected to İzmir with two different roads. The first one is via Aydın and the second via Manisa. Denizli is also connected to İzmir by railway, which is also via Aydın. The road to Ankara is via Afyon. The railway to Ankara is via Afyon-Kütahya-Eskişehir.
Highway: One of the highways which connect İzmir to Denizli turns east from İzmir and enters Manisa Province’s Border. The road turns southeast in Manisa, south of Sarıgöl, enters Denizli‘s Border, and proceeds via Buldan and Sarayköy to Denizli City, the Provincial Center. The second road turns south from İzmir and extends to Aydın. This road is connected to the other road 3 km north of Sarayköy Town. The road separates after Denizli and one branch of it turns to the southwest and connects the towns of Tavas and Kale and Muğla Province to Denizli. The other branch turns southeast and connects Antalya and Acıpayam to Denizli. There is another road, separate from the Denizli - Antalya road, before the town of Acıpayam which turns east and connects Burdur to Denizli via Yeşilova Town. Another road, which is separate from the Denizli - Muğla road in Tavas Town, proceeds west and connects Denizli to Aydın again via Aphrodisias. Another highway, separate from the Aydın - İzmir Highway from Denizli City Center, turns east, passes Çardak Town, and crosses Denizli’s Border into Afyon Province. Another road besides the Denizli – Çardak Highway turns northeast to Çivril Town. Other branch of the road turns east first, then southeast and reaches Dinar which is connected to the Denizli-Afyon Highway. Pamukkale, the most famous tourism center of Denizli, is connected to Denizli by a road which turns north which is a branch of the Denizli - Çardak Highway. Another branch of the same road which turns south connects Denizli to Honaz.
